Horseback riding vacation through the beautiful forest trails and wild landscapes that have been protected by its status of secrecy for more than 50 years in Vainode and Nigrande Soviet secret nuclear missile bases. These places were specially protected by the Soviet regime and now you are allowed to discover them by yourself. Forests around Vainode and Nigrande cherish the historic evidence of these places as well as having been allowed to keep the landscape wild and without the intervention of humans.

Day 1

Hardness: Very easy Experience: Beginner

Instructions and training

Arrival in the district of starting point or Adazi and settling down in guest house. Safety briefing and acquaintance. Refreshing equestrian skills or instructions (tuition in accordance to information left during reservation of vacation).

Day 2

Hardness: Easy Experience: Novice

Vainode Missile Base route: Embute - Vibini - Vainode Missile Base - Embute (25 km)

Horse riding through the beautiful wild forest trails and sightseeing at Vainode Missile Base R14 that had been a part of this region’s cross continental nuclear missile system. Following a horseback ride through Embute historical Cours Castle Hill and the ruins of castle that was built in 1236 with breathtaking views to a panoramic landscape around.

Day 3

Hardness: Easy Experience: Beginner

Embute valley route: Embute - Nikrace - Lenas (25 km)

Horse ride through one of the most impressive preserved cultural heritage areas in the surroundings of Embute. Embute Valley is one of the most mysterious places in Kurzeme with its natural beauty as well as mystical stories and a status of a sacred place leading back to centuries old history. Embute being one of the most beautiful and interesting places in Kurzeme has attracted the interest of many writers. Two swords as entrance gate to Embute Valley create a mythical atmosphere.

Day 4

Hardness: Easy Experience: Novice

Nigrande Missile Base route: Lenas - Venta river - Nigrande (25 km)

This equestrian horseback riding day offers a possibility to gallop not only in wild forests and beautiful meadows long the river Venta coast, but also visiting the base of Nigrande Missile Base. This Base forms part of the missile system connected to Vainode base.

Day 5

Hardness: Very easy Experience: Beginner

Nigrande - Alderi (Transfer)

Nigrande - Alderi (transfer). Return to Alderi overnight with and/or transfer to airport or direct transfer to airport.
